Connect Facebook and Instagram
Connect your Page or Instagram account, understand what Webisia stores, publish safely, and remove access or delete your data.
Updated October 30, 2026Before connecting
Use the Facebook profile that has sufficient access to the Page you intend to connect. Page access is controlled by Meta; seeing a Page publicly does not mean your profile can authorize it. To publish to Instagram, the Instagram account must be a professional account linked to that Page.
Connect your accounts
- Open Marketing Studio → Social posts.
- Select Connect Meta accounts.
- Sign in to Facebook and review the permissions shown by Meta.
- Select the Page, and the Instagram account if you use one, that Webisia should use.
- Complete authorization and return to Webisia.
- Confirm the account names under Connected social accounts before publishing anything.
Permissions and data
The exact permissions displayed by Meta are the authoritative list for your authorization. Webisia requests access only for Marketing Studio features, such as identifying the Pages and Instagram accounts you manage, publishing the posts you approve, and reading their results.
For each connected account, Webisia stores:
- the Page or Instagram account identifier and name;
- an access token, stored encrypted, and when it expires;
- the permissions you granted;
- audience numbers used in your results, such as followers and 28-day reach.
Webisia does not need your Facebook password; authentication occurs on Meta’s domain.
Publish responsibly
Review the destination account, text, image and links before publishing. Only post photos you have the right to use, and never post personal information about the people you serve.
Troubleshooting
If your Page or Instagram account is missing, confirm your Facebook Page access and business permissions. If publishing stops working, the authorization may have expired or been revoked; reconnect and review permissions again.
Disconnect
- Open Marketing Studio → Social posts.
- Under Connected social accounts, remove the account.
Webisia immediately and permanently deletes the stored connection, including its access token. Then open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations and remove Webisia so Meta stops sharing data with it. Posts already published stay on Facebook and Instagram until you delete them there.
Delete your data
To have Webisia delete all data it received from Meta for your organization, email support@webisia.com from your account email with the subject Meta data deletion and your organization’s name. We confirm by email once it is done, within 30 days.
The privacy policy explains what else Webisia keeps and for how long.
